This seems like the year nothing can go wrong… I mean Hollywood wise…
After Iron Man, a somewhat more successful The Incredible Hulk, the magnificently brilliant extravaganza The Dark Knight, one of the best Pixar movies, infact THE best animated feature till date WALL-E, and now we have Avatar!
I seriously believe the finale could have made a good movie (it did… but I mean in theater)…
I had been hoping from long… and have perhaps been quite vocal about it… I always hoped that they would use Book 3 to set up things for an entire season of confrontation… one that would end with the defeat of the Fire Lord and bring balance to the world…
They managed to do all that magnificently in just 4 episodes!
If you still haven’t seen it.. I feel sorry for you!
Sozen’s Comet has some of the BEST action you have seen yet in any episode to date! But that is not it… It manages to couple this very well with the internal conflicts that the characters are bound to face, and adds to it the drama and character development that have always made the show popular…
I hope this isnt the end of avatar… they can do sooo much more…
I remember just around… one year ago?
When I first introduced avatar to people… I got the first few episodes… and never even watched them! I though there is anough anime in the world.. no need for a cheep imitation…
What I learned after I started watching Avatar is that the world is a mixture of influences… some are good influences and some are bad (beyblade… seriously?!!)… but everything we create is influenced somewhat by something we have experienced and liked… and we shouldnt let influences decide how something might be, we should explore on our own…
This series may have ended, but I am sure they can make another ‘volume of books’…
this one was The Last Airbender, then next one can be about bringing back the airbender, because without them… has balance really been restored?
So I am all in for Avatar: Airbenders Galore
